We believe every child and infant deserves to live in a safe, clean home with enough healthy food and water each day and access to the best education and medical care available, and that’s what we provide the children in our care. But, children also need to be children. Our kids play lots of games like chess, carom, football, vollyball, badminton, and cricket; they ride bicycles around and near the property; and, we take them on picnics and to visit monuments, and historical and religious sites as often as possible.

Our Residential Facilities:
We house girls and boys in separate homes, giving each child their own single bed in rooms with wall-to-wall carpeting. Our facilities include hot and cold showers, study halls, television rooms, and additional gas heaters during the winter. And, of course, we keep our homes very clean, and do all that we can to make our children feel comfortable and at home.

Our Dining Services:
Both vegetarian and non-vegetarian, well-balanced and nutritious meals are prepared by a professional, trained cooking staff every day. Based on what is available in the market, we serve fresh fruits and vegetables as much as is possible and have banned tinned food from our kitchen. We also prepare special meals as instructed by our pediatrician whenever necessary. And, we only serve filtered water to protect against water-borne illnesses.

Our Health Care Services:
We have a well-known pediatrician and a nurse available to diagnose illness at the first sign or symptom and to give our children immediate and prompt medical treatment.

Our Educational Services:
Children who are 4 years old and above attend school regardless of the level of education they have when they arrive. If they are not prepared for their grade level, then we give them tutoring or extra classes to help them compete with their classmates and catch up. We individualize the instruction to meet the specific needs of each child.

Our children attend one of the best available schools in the district, which is not part of DOCSF-Nepal, where English is taught as the primary language and Nepali as a second language. The school's curriculum includes: mathematics; science (physics, biology, and chemistry); social studies (history and geography); environmental science; computers; public speaking; and, art and handicraft (knitting and sewing).

After completing class 5 children are enrolled in Nepal Scout training, which includes participation in various festivals and events and visits to different areas of Nepal. They may also travel abroad for additional training if selected where they have opportunity to advance their education and learning.

Our Infant Care:
All our infants are fed baby formula, provided with fresh, disposable nappies/diapers, treated with baby lotion, and swaddled and clothed as is appropriate for the season. Our staff ensures they receive a lot of attention and physical interaction to ensure their emotional well being.
